We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected facilities management company seeking an experienced and versatile Multi Skilled Mobile Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a skilled team working across a variety of commercial properties throughout the Northwest. You'll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, with a focus on HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems.
Job details:
* Attend a wide range of commercial buildings within the region, providing high-quality maintenance and engineering support.
* Respond to reactive and emergency call-outs, diagnosing faults and carrying out necessary repairs efficiently, with all associated paperwork completed accurately.
* Deliver scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities across HVAC and M&E systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and service agreements.
* Work across heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and mechanical & electrical systems, delivering work to high technical standards.
* Undertake ad-hoc tasks and support wider business requirements as directed by management to meet service levels and client expectations.
Qualifications / Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar mobile engineering or building services role.
* Strong understanding of commercial heating systems, including service, repair, and installation.
* Proven experience in fault-finding and diagnostic work with the ability to resolve technical issues independently.
* Good working knowledge of controls systems and Building Management Systems (BMS).
* Competent in basic plumbing work and associated maintenance tasks.
* Sound understanding of basic electrical safety, with hands-on experience in electrical systems.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work; willing to undertake varied tasks across multiple disciplines.
* Prepared to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota (currently 1 in 14) and work outside standard hours when necessary.
* Confident working under minimal supervision and using own initiative.
* Clear understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
* Able to complete all job documentation, including reports and compliance paperwork, in a clear and timely manner.
* Unvented hot water qualification (preferred but not essential).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (preferred but not essential).
