Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £90 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work in schools across Middlesbrough.
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, and providing targeted support to students. This role is ideal for individuals with strong classroom experience who are confident leading learning and supporting pupil progress.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons and lead whole-class sessions when required
* Support teachers with lesson planning and resource preparation
* Provide targeted interventions for individuals and small groups
* Monitor, assess and record pupil progress
* Support pupils with SEND, EAL or additional learning needs
* Maintain positive behaviour management in line with school policies
* Assist with classroom organisation and administrative tasks
* Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
HLTA Requirements:
* HLTA or Level 4 TA qualification or significant classroom experience
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Experience supporting pupils across different key stages
* A proactive and adaptable approach to working in schools
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
