Overview
Engineering Manager role at TipTopJob in Bedfordshire. Lead design, R&D, NPI and Production Engineering for our site and support a Global group developing capital equipment for the aviation industry. This opportunity aims to reshape our engineering department and support growth and career development.
Responsibilities
* Lead our engineering team (design, production engineering, project, CAPEX) across the site and globally (circa 20 people).
* Motivate and develop the engineering team and foster collaboration across the group.
* Drive new product introduction (NPI), production engineering, re-engineering, obsolescence management, CAPEX and production support for engineering changes.
* Travel as needed.
* Take ownership of engineering leadership duties including project management and cross-functional coordination.
Your Background / Qualifications
* Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary design, R&D team of 10+ (mechanical, electrical, electronic and firmware).
* Machinery and/or capital equipment experience.
* Experience with DFM/DFMA and ideally service considerations.
* Strong leadership with the ability to inspire, coach and lead a team.
* Very competent with ERP systems.
* Education: B.Eng / BSc or above in a relevant engineering subject (electrical/electronic or mechanical).
Benefits
* Salary up to GBP 85,000, dependent on relevant experience.

* Personal and company bonus (GBP 5,000–GBP 7,000).
* 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Bedford, UK. Commutable locations include Milton Keynes, Northampton, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Wellingborough, Rugby, Coventry, Kettering, Corby, St Neots, Huntingdon, Peterborough.
