What you’ll be responsible for
As an Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) Technician, you will work closely with the wastewater and potable water production teams to ensure our Treatment Works remain compliant with MCerts certification. You should be a team player capable of building relationships quickly, providing support and guidance for planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
Key duties include:
* Carry out planned maintenance verification of MCerts flowmeters.
* Respond to breakdowns on various flowmeters, assess problems, decide on actions, acquire spares, and carry out repairs.
* Recommend design changes to ensure plant efficiency and service levels.
* Interrogate telemetry and SCADA systems to monitor unmanned plant, amend programs for faults and operational changes.
* Provide technical advice on ICA design for small capital schemes.
* Maintain BMS procedures to ISO standards, calibrate ICA MCerts equipment, and keep auditable records.
* Implement and maintain the Planned Maintenance System.
* Participate in design, installation, and commissioning of Capital Schemes for ICA and process optimization.
* Collaborate with the Alliance Partnership for large capital schemes.
* Design, install, and maintain MCerts instrumentation and communication links.

About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Time Served apprenticeship in electronics, instrumentation, or electrical; or fully qualified with demonstrable experience.
* A team player with ownership and accountability.
* Ability to develop positive relationships across the business.
