We are seeking a dedicated and organised Parts Advisor / Counter sales professional to join our team, with Salary negotiated to suit the right applicant
This opportunity comes at our new satellite depot in Wymondham Norfolk, operating from the Gurney Reeve premises, a long respected manufacture and retailer of brushes and handling equipment
Shellplant have been trading for 54 years and are currently building a brand new head office here in Earls Barton
Your colleagues include the team here at Shellplant Head office alongside sales and technicians based in Wymondham, the team will be added to as we grow our New appointed territory for Kubota UK products for Construction .You will also be working alongside the great team at Gurney Reeve
You will be the first point of contact for trade and retail customers, providing expert advice, identifying required parts, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
Training will be held at head office for a number or weeks here in Northamptonshire, transport will be covered for the time during this process
Key Responsibilities
* Serve customers at the parts counter, by phone, and via email.
* Identify, source, and supply the correct parts using catalogues and internal systems.
* Provide exceptional customer service and build strong, lasting relationships.
* Process orders, quotations, and returns accurately.
* Maintain stock displays, assist with inventory control, and support stock‑taking activities.
* Liaise with suppliers to check availability and pricing when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
* Previous experience in a Parts Advisor, Counter Sales, or Automotive Parts role (preferred).
* Strong knowledge of parts catalogues.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Basic IT skills and experience using parts lookup systems.
* A proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
