Summary
We are seeking an EYFS 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a non-verbal pupil with Autism and GLD at a local school. This role requires immediate start and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the educational journey of a pupil with special needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with an EHCP in place, focusing on tailored educational and developmental needs.
* Deliver an individualised curriculum designed to meet the specific needs of the pupil.
* Liaise effectively with external agencies and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to the pupil's education and well-being.
* Utilise ICT tools to record, monitor, and report on the pupil's progress.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and development matters to support the pupil's learning and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working in a reception or EYFS setting is desirable.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and developmental milestones.
- Proven ability to work with children with special educational needs, particularly non-verbal children.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with teachers, external agencies, and parents.
- Competency in using ICT tools for educational purposes and progress monitoring.
