About the Role: About Us Wiley is expanding the Recruitment Solutions commercial team, and seeking a Sales Development Representative to work on association-partnered job boards on behalf of some of the UK and North America’s most trusted and respected professional brands. Our platforms connect employers with highly targeted professional audiences, helping organizations recruit top talent in competitive markets. This role is all about finding and creating new opportunities. You will identify prospective employers, drive outreach campaigns, and deliver qualified leads and warm opportunities to our Account Managers, directly impacting revenue growth. The Role This role is for a true hunter who thrives on finding new business and building pipelines from scratch. You’ll spend your time researching prospects, engaging decision-makers, and positioning our job board solutions to generate interest and secure meetings. You’ll collaborate closely with our Account Managers, ensuring seamless handover of warm leads and supporting larger sales opportunities across multiple high-value sectors, including veterinary, healthcare, finance, science, engineering, and higher education. Key Responsibilities Drive outbound prospecting across multiple sectors using email, phone, and LinkedIn. Research and qualify new employer accounts to build a healthy top-of-funnel pipeline. Educate prospects on our audiences, value propositions, and advertising solutions. Book qualified discovery meetings for Account Managers and ensure smooth handovers. Maintain accurate CRM records and track outreach performance. About You We’re looking for someone driven, proactive, and relentless in pursuit of new opportunities. You should be comfortable managing high-volume outreach, building relationships quickly, and hitting ambitious targets. 1–3 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation, ideally in SaaS, recruitment advertising, or digital media. A hunter mentality: persistent, resourceful, and motivated to open new doors using modern, creative techniques. A proven track-record in implementing qualification frameworks such as BANT or MEDDPICC to identify viable opportunities. Confident communicator who can build rapport and influence decision-makers. Highly accountable, organized, and comfortable working independently. Experience using CRMs and sales engagement tools is a plus.
