High-Speed Digital Hardware Engineer – Outside IR35 Contract
We are working with a cutting-edge satellite communications company developing the next generation of advanced terminals. They’re looking for a High-Speed Digital Hardware Engineer with expertise in both FPGA and high-speed PCB design to join their innovative team. This role blends digital, RF, and embedded systems within a high-performance engineering environment.
Responsibilities
* Design high-speed digital PCBs using the latest FPGAs, microprocessors, and SerDes interfaces (e.g. JESD204B/C, PCIe, Ethernet)
* Perform signal and power integrity (SI/PI) analysis to ensure robustness in extreme conditions
* Collaborate on RF/digital co-design for advanced phased array systems
* Conduct bring-up, debugging, and validation using high-speed lab equipment
* Support full product lifecycle—from concept and design to integration and test
What You'll Need
* Expertise in high-speed SerDes (e.g. PCIe, JESD204, 10/25/100Gb Ethernet)
* PCB schematic capture and layout skills (Altium preferred)
* Strong debugging and lab-based validation skills
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience with SI/PI simulation tools (HyperLynx, HFSS, etc.)
* Familiarity with regulatory and design constraints (EMC/EMI, SWaP)
* Integration experience across hardware, firmware, and embedded software
