The Global WSP Real Estate portfolio includes over 1,000 leases across 59 countries, covering more than 9 million rentable square feet. This active portfolio is guided by an explicit strategy influencing regional and global decisions.
Global Workplace is a strategic partner with all WSP Business Services. Its focus is to provide environments that attract and retain top talent by enabling productive, collaborative, and enjoyable workspaces, while ensuring fiscal responsibility, flexible programs, and innovative design.
The Global Workplace team supports WSP’s Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards and goals.
The VP of Global Workplace Strategy reports to the Senior Global Leader of Global Workplace and partners with them. This role adds value by providing insights, expanding the existing framework, and implementing solutions to meet WSP’s social, corporate, and environmental goals.
* Contribute to WSP’s workplace strategy to create a best-in-class working environment that attracts top talent while maintaining cost efficiency and value.
* Collaborate with regional leaders in Corporate Real Estate (CRE), Facilities, and Administration to build a cohesive framework supporting WSP’s goals.
* Facilitate collaboration between CRE Project and Facility Management teams to optimize performance, working with IT, Procurement, Finance, and HR.
* Create value propositions within the Workplace parameters.
* Maintain reports on Global CAPEX, OPEX, & RENT spend, aligned with the Global Strategic Plan.
* Develop, implement, and monitor policies and processes for CRE projects to ensure operational efficiency.
* Support WSP Business Leaders in aligning workplace strategies with overall business strategies.
* Work with global partners to support integrated office solutions.
* Assist M&A activities with due diligence reports and insights for Workplace.
* Support post-acquisition integration efforts.
* Implement common solutions and tools for the Workplace Team.
* Oversee Delegation of Authority approval processes.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…
* Deep knowledge of real estate transactions, market reviews, portfolio management, and broker relations.
* Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience with asset sales, construction management (including FF&E, IT, A/V), and facilities management (security, repairs, maintenance, outsourcing).
* Understanding of design concepts for flexible workplaces.
* Ability to assess operational shifts and develop responsive programs.
* Knowledge of organizational management, KPIs for CRE & FM, and ability to lead diverse teams.
* Willingness and ability to travel and work across cultures.
Desired Qualifications
* MBA or BS in CRE management or related field (asset).
* Membership in professional bodies (e.g., CoreNet, IFMA).
* Experience managing large refurbishment programs and property negotiations.
* Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills.
* Ability to manage ambiguity, build networks, and support technological advancements.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
