WearenowlookingforanexperiencedMechanicalProjectManagertojoinMarchaspartofthedeliveryteamontheSCPatSellafieldandotherprojectsastheymature.ThispositionwilleventuallyprogresstotakeoverfromthePrincipalProjectManager.
AstheMechanicalProjectManager,youwillhavearesponsibilitytoassistthePrincipalprojectmanagerandseniorengineerintheprocurementanddeliveryoftheMechanicalPackages,coordinatingwiththeclient,contractors,suppliersandotherstakeholderstoensuresuccessfuldelivery.ThepositionwillbefulltimeandmostlysitebasedaspartoftheMarchdeliveryteamwithsomeoff-sitemeetingswhenrequired.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Sub-Projectmanagementplanningandengineering;labour,materials,costcontrolandsub-contractresourcemanagement
* Produceriskassessmentsandmethodstatements(RAMS)andotherQHSEdocumentation
* Managingtheproductionofthesub-contractorsITP’sandICL’sinconjunctionwiththeQAManagersrequirements
* Identifying,assessing,negotiatingwithandmanagingsuppliersandsub-contractors
* ManagingtheproductionofRFI’sensuringthecorrectselectionandprocurementofequipment
* Attendingsiteteammeetingsandworkshopsasrequired,implementingCompensationEventsandproducingearlywarnings
Managingamechanicalsiteteamasidentifiedbelow:-
* MechanicalEngineer
* MechanicalSupervisors/Constructionmanager
* SupplychainSiteSupervisorsandsiteteam
Workingcloselywith:-
* TheQualityManagerandteamtoensuretheresolvingandclosingoutofSnagsandDefects
* TheQuantitySurveyor,DocumentController,PrincipalContractorandothertrades
* Communicatingandco-ordinatingwiththeHealthandSafetymanagerandtheADTDesignteam.
* TheprojectPlannertoensureaccurateplanning,forecastingandreportingcontractperformance
Skills,Experiences&Qualifications:
* EducatedtoHNCLevel(orequivalent)inaMechanical/BuildingServicesEngineeringdiscipline–considerationwillbegivenforthosewithequivalentindustryexperience.
* HaveexperienceinusingMSofficesoftware.
* YouwillalsoneedtoholdbothaSMSTSandCSCScard.
* ExperienceworkingwithinanuclearorhighlyregulatedenvironmentP4pass&SCclearance(desirable)butNotEssential.
