The Role
You will play a key part in coordinating resources, managing in-day schedules, and supporting operational teams to meet service, quality, and risk management targets. Acting as a central point of contact, you’ll balance customer needs, operational priorities, and regulatory requirements to ensure work is delivered right first time.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…
1. Developing and managing in-day and forward schedules to support both planned and unplanned works
2. Analysing data, forecasting demand, and balancing workload, capacity, and service levels
3. Optimising resource allocation to reduce downtime and minimise last-minute changes
4. Supporting operational teams by prioritising workloads and resolving scheduling issues as they arise
5. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, and customer-focused outcomes
6. Ensuring customer communications are clear, positive, and professional
7. Maintaining accurate planning data and systems, ensuring compliance with planning processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, including the Traffic Management Act
8. Supporting the delivery of safe and compliant connections to Anglian Water infrastructure
We would love to hear from you if…
You enjoy problem-solving, staying organised, and working in a fast-paced, reactive environment. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach are essential, along with the ability to prioritise effectively and make sound decisions.
You’ll be comfortable using IT systems and planning tools, with good keyboard skills and confidence working across Microsoft Office applications. Experience in planning, scheduling, customer service, or operational roles would be beneficial, though not essential, as full training will be provided.
An awareness of water or wastewater networks, Streetworks legislation, or the Traffic Management Act would be advantageous, but above all, we’re looking for motivated, adaptable individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
