Finance Administrator (Billing)
£24,000 - £28,000
Location: Liverpool
Working Pattern: Office-Based Initially, Moving to Hybrid
37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday

Adaptable Recruitment is proud to be working exclusively with an expanding organisation on the outskirts of Liverpool to recruit a Finance Administrator within their Billing team.

This role is best suited for a highly organised administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings exceptional attention to detail, outstanding data entry, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently.

You will play a vital role in supporting the finance and billing function by ensuring accurate, timely invoicing and receipting, while adhering to strict administrative procedures and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Process large volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently in line with strict deadlines
Administer the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including billing and allocation of payments
Maintain detailed and accurate customer account records and ensure data integrity across all systems
Monitor outstanding payments and proactively follow up via email, phone and letter
Assess creditworthiness of customers and apply credit limits in accordance with internal policies
Prepare and process credit notes and adjustments following the required internal approvals
Reconcile customer accounts and manage remittance discrepancies and payment allocations
Provide administrative support to the finance team during month-end close, including generating reports and updating trackers
Ensure all documentation and record-keeping is compliant with internal controls and audit standards
Liaise professionally with internal departments and external clients to resolve queries efficiently

Key Skills and Experience

Proven experience in a fast paced administrative role
Strong data entry skills with a focus on speed and accuracy in high-volume environments
Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and finance or ERP systems desirable
Able to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines
