Overview

This role sits within the Group WRU Marketing team and is a dedicated position focused on driving growth for Principality Stadium Experience hospitality, and all stadium 3rd party revenue driving marketing activity. The successful candidate will play a central role in developing and delivering integrated campaigns that promote premium matchday hospitality, conferences and events, stadium tours, and seasonal experiences alongside leading on the announcements of stadium concerts and third party events. The position will, at times, be required to support on the marketing of the Senior Men’s and Women’s rugby teams and pathways.

Closing Date: 24 October 2025

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Location: Principality Stadium, Cardiff/and or WRU National Centre of Excellence, Hensol

Hours of work: 35 per week. Monday to Friday. Our working hours are generally 9am – 5pm but our approach to hybrid working – Team Tactics – means you can flex your hours and attendance in the office to support a sustainable work-life balance.

Responsible to: Senior Marketing Manager

Contractual status: Fixed Term, 8 months. Subject to 6-month probationary period

The Person

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

* Demonstrable experience in promoting luxury products, premium experiences, or hospitality.
* Strong track record in direct marketing (D2C & B2B), integrated campaign planning, execution, and measurement.
* Experience using email campaign management and social media platforms.

The Role

Key Responsibilities, Tasks And Activities

* Leading the development of promotional collateral and marketing materials that showcase Principality Stadium Experience hospitality.
* Delivering integrated marketing planning (B2B & B2C), creative development, audience targeting and campaign measurement across paid, earned, and owned channels, ensuring alignment with wider group activities.
* Liaising with sales partners and using GA4 to track and optimise hospitality advertising performance and sales.
* Supporting on announcements of concerts and third-party events, providing ad-hoc marketing support to promoters via our Third-Party email database.
* Leading the promotion of Stadium Tours and seasonal campaigns including Santa at the Stadium.
* Supporting the development of brand ambassador and influencer activity.
* Managing relationships and marketing opportunities with key stakeholders such as Visit Wales and Visit Cardiff.
* Driving innovative ways to build awareness of premium hospitality products and experiences.
* Overseeing photography, filming, and social content production that represents and appeals to diverse audiences.
* Carrying out duties in line with the WRU Group’s Strategic Mission, Purpose, and Values.

WRU Requirements

The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and a valid UK Driver's License is required. This role is subject to a basic/enhanced DBS check.
