The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, W S Swift Services Ltd now has a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced HR & Payroll Manager to join our team. This is a key role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll, employee relations, and HR compliance while supporting a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Manage HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
* Maintain a good working knowledge of employment law and advise management on HR best practices.
* Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems to support business objectives.
* Prepare and analyze HR and payroll reports for senior management.
* Support employee engagement, wellbeing, and professional development initiatives.
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation.
Requirements
* Proven experience in HR and payroll management (minimum 3–5 years in a similar role).
* Strong knowledge of payroll systems, working knowledge of employment law, and HR best practices.
* Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and problem-solving skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
What We Offer
* Salary between £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience).
* 30 days holiday (including bank holidays).
