Look no further, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Project Officer for the Virtual School here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
The Virtual School for Children in Our Care and Previously in Care would like to appoint a Project Officer to work in the Virtual School Team.
The person appointed would work as part of the Virtual School Team to lead and co-ordinate specific project and developmental work specifically within the remit of the Virtual School’s statutory and non-statutory duties to provide high quality and timely responses to the young people and parent/carers who are entitled to Virtual School support.
Candidates should be fully committed to supporting the educational outcomes and emotional wellbeing of children entitled to support from the Virtual School and have the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to be the educational advocate for children who fall under the remit of the Virtual School. The Virtual School support children from birth to 18.
As a Project Officer you will have the ability to work with all agencies and relevant partners to ensure that children entitled to Virtual School support receive the best possible opportunities to reach their maximum educational potential by promoting a culture of high aspirations and advocating for children/young people.
This is an exciting opportunity for a person who would like to work as part of supportive, innovative, and enthusiastic team, who work passionately to support children and young people known to social care.
This is a fixed term contract and the expected duration of the contract is 12 months but will be reviewed periodically with the post holder.
