Puma Capital Group are looking for a part-time Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team, working 16 hours per week. Ideally these hours will be split across 5 days, but we are open to discussing other arrangements.
This role can be offered on a majority remote basis, with travel to our London office a minimum of one day per month.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who is looking for a role which offers flexibility. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance team on ensuring finance administration processes are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.
Role Responsibilities:
* Accurate transaction entry for accounts payable into Sage, ensuring supplier accounts are reconciled, and payments are allocated correctly in Sage
* Maintaining an organised invoice log to facilitate weekly payment runs
* Monitoring the inbox for approvals and new invoices, ensuring prompt response and action
* Addressing and resolving queries from both internal and external suppliers
* Executing weekly payment runs efficiently and in a timely manner
* Managing credit card receipts, ensuring they are saved and reconciled with monthly statements for audit purposes
* Posting transactions for credit cards and expenses in Sage
* Maintain purchase ledger
Experience Required:
* Experience in maintaining invoice logs and processing weekly payment runs and maintaining records for audit purposes
* Experience with accounting software, ideally Sage (200)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manipulate and analyse data effectively
* Proactive in identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency, with a focus on reducing manual effort and improving accuracy
* Ability to work collaboratively in a close‑knit team, including partnering closely with colleagues on shared tasks and deadlines
