We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Bar Manager to join our opening Food & Beverage leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the identity and service style of one of London’s most anticipated luxury destinations.
As Deputy Bar Manager, you will support the Director of Bars in overseeing daily bar operations. You will take a hands‑on approach, leading the team, ensuring impeccable service, and maintaining the highest standards of beverage expertise, compliance, and guest engagement. Your presence on the floor during peak service will be essential in creating a warm, attentive, and seamless experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Director of Bars in the daily operation of the bar and lounge
* Ensure the delivery of an elegant, engaging, and efficient bar service experience
* Lead, mentor, and inspire the bar and lounge team, fostering a culture of excellence
* Assist with menu development, promotions, and beverage programming
* Maintain strict compliance with local and national liquor laws and St. Regis standards
* Oversee inventory management, stock control, portion control, and beverage cost management
* Support financial targets by managing controllable expenses and operational efficiencies
* Supervise staffing levels to ensure seamless service and operational effectiveness
* Train employees on beverage standards, liquor control policies, and service techniques
* Resolve guest issues with confidence, ensuring prompt and effective service recovery
* Support guest engagement by gathering feedback and enhancing the guest journey
* Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
* Act as the Bar Manager in their absence, ensuring uninterrupted leadership and service delivery
Core Competencies
* Previous experience in a bar, lounge, or beverage leadership role within a luxury hospitality environment
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide, develop, and motivate a team
* A genuine passion for mixology, beverage trends, and elevated guest experiences
* Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
* Sound understanding of beverage control processes and compliance requirements
