Clinical Support Worker Night Nursing Service

The closing date is 22 March 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Assistant to work with the Community Nursing Team as part of the developing Integrated Care Community (ICC). You will be predominantly based at Brampton & Longtown ICC, as part of Carlisle & District ICC. You will provide care to patients in their own home setting, often in remote and rural areas of our ICC.

ICCs aim to address the challenges of an ageing population and increasing demand on health and care services by providing more out of hospital care and empowering people to take control of their health and wellbeing. This will require new ways of working to focus on preventing ill health and ensuring services are sustainable for the future.

This role requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge to support the provision of high‑quality care and to support patients with complex needs within the community setting.

We currently have a 30 hrs per week, permanent position available.

Daily working hours are between 8:30 and 23:00.

Main duties of the job

Please see attached job description.

As a Health Care Assistant, working under the direction of a registered health care professional, you will undertake a range of delegated patient nursing and care duties including clinical observations and recording patient information. You will often work largely alone and unsupervised. The Care Group is commissioned to provide 24/7 nursing services.

Please see attached job description and person specification for further information regarding the role and the essential and desirable criteria required to be met by applicants.

Applicants must check their eligibility prior to completing an application. Anyone who does not meet the eligibility criteria will not be progressed.
