JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE: 2 x Cafcass Co-Ordinator
LOCATION: Redhill
Hours and days: 37.5 hours Tuesday to Fridays 10am to 6pm + Saturday 9am to 5pm
Pay: £12.50 per hour
RESPONSIBLE TO: Cafcass Divisional Manager
Main Objective
Work directly with families to help them overcome barriers that are preventing meaningful relationships in separated families. Working in surrounding area HAYWARDS HEATH, HASSOCKS, BRIGHTON, EASTBOURNE, HASTINGS
The ideal candidate will have own transport and be willing to commute
General
• Proactively take ownership in developing own knowledge to understand the context of the work of the company and associated risks, challenges and priorities
• Maintain at all times strict confidentiality of information relating to any sensitive information
• Communicate information effectively using the correct channels;
• Ensure familiarisation and adherence with Swan Family’s policies and procedures at all times
• Meet obligations in respect of Health and Safety, primarily not putting self and others at risk of harm
• Carry out responsibilities effectively, accurately, promptly and in a well-organised way

• Dispose of confidential paperwork appropriately using secure methods

Principal Duties
• Working in partnership with Cafcass
• Working directly with families to achieve the ICFA 4 Key outcomes for families
• Supporting families to overcome barriers
• Support parents in understanding the impact conflict can have on children
• Support children to re-build their relationship with the parent they do not live with
• Be able to manage your own case load and complete all work with each family
• Ensuring reports are submitted by the submission due dates
• Liaise with FCA’s where necessary
• Attend regular workshops with other co-ordinators and meetings to share practice and continue professional development
