Role overview:
Teledyne Microwave UK have an exciting opportunity for a Production Engineer to join their Production Team. In this role you will be the Production Engineer responsible for aiding the users with training, support, advice and assistance.
What you'll be involved in:
1. RF, Analogue and Digital alignment, test, verification and final acceptance test of products to pre-determined specifications.
2. Fault-finding, analysis and diagnosis of non-working electronic devices down to component level and the reporting of root cause and failure mode following Teledyne company procedures.
3. Follow, maintain and uphold all Company Operating Procedures, Quality Instructions and associated policies.
4. Using and maintaining various types of electronic testing equipment (e.g. network analysers, spectrum analysers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, analogue and digital meters and PC’s)
5. Reporting and documenting technical problems to Production Management and Engineering.
Main responsibilities:
6. Contribute and implement continuous improvements in product design, processes, yield and performance.
7. Follow company and manufacturing procedures to meet customer delivery requirements.
8. Create Production documentation and technical reports.
9. Contribute to regular Daily Stand-Up Meetings.
10. Provide production support and fault finding.
11. Plan, implement and coordinate own activities against objectives set by management.
12. To highlight and solve problems as they arise during the assembly and test stage.
13. Responsibility for the support of 5S and other lean manufacturing initiatives both individually and as part of the team in line with the Teledyne Production System.
What we're looking for in you:
14. HNC in Electronic Engineering or equivalent OR a minimum of 2 years experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
15. Knowledge of MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610.
16. Experience of AutoCAD preferred.
17. Experience communicating with customers verbally and in written forms.
18. Strong listening & problem-solving skills.
19. Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
