Job Responsibilities and Requirements
1. Design and Quoting: Use SolidWorks to design products and prepare quotes based on customer specifications. Create production assembly documentation during development.
2. Engineering Changes: Incorporate engineering change orders throughout the production process.
3. Order Entry: Enter quotes and orders into the system efficiently.
4. Customer and Supplier Communication: Maintain contact with customers and suppliers to gather information and track job progress.
5. Site Visits: Conduct surveys and oversee installations. Be prepared for occasional overnight stays depending on project requirements.
6. Sales Support: Assist with technical issues and queries to support sales efforts.
7. Qualifications: Degree or HND/C Level in SolidWorks Engineering or a similar field.
8. Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Inventor or SolidWorks. Knowledge of design for manufacture and manufacturing processes, including CNC routing.
9. Personal Passion: Demonstrated interest in engineering, woodworking, or metalwork as a hobby.
