EYFS Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support Role Location: Primary School Setting in PR5 Start Date: September 2026 Pay Rate: £14.24 - £15.67 per hour Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis within a mainstream primary school starting in September 2026. This rewarding role involves supporting a child with global learning delay as they transition from a nursery setting into mainstream education. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the child settle into school routines, access learning opportunities, and develop socially and emotionally within the classroom environment. The position will begin on a part-time timetable to support a gradual transition into school, with the expectation of increasing to full-time hours once the child is fully settled. The Role As a 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide dedicated support throughout the school day Assist the child in accessing EYFS learning activities Support communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and outside professionals Build positive relationships with parents and school staff Support with personal care where required Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience supporting children within EYFS or SEN settings Experience working with children with additional needs or developmental delays A calm, nurturing, and adaptable approach Confidence supporting personal care needs Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment ?
