Academics are currently recruiting for a KS1 Intervention & Classroom Support Assistant to work within welcoming primary schools across Brighton. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young learners and helping children build confidence in phonics, reading, and writing. The Role As a KS1 Intervention & Classroom Support Assistant, you will: Deliver targeted phonics, reading, and writing interventions to KS1 pupils. Provide classroom support alongside the class teacher. Work with small groups and on a one-to-one basis to improve literacy skills. Help create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Support pupils' confidence, progress, and overall development. Requirements Experience working with children within a school or educational setting is desirable. Good understanding of KS1 phonics and early literacy development. Positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude. Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. Must be able to provide 2 years' worth of references to complete safeguarding checks.
