We are looking to recruit an experienced IT User Support to work with our IT Team team based in Wolverhampton. You must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle as this role will require travelling to our office bases as required. A typical day will be: Monitor and maintain the firms computer systems and networks. Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications diagnose hardware/software faults and resolve appropriately resolve technical and applications problems, via the helpdesk and helpdesk requests, either over the phone or in person. Ensure a thorough understanding of the firms information systems and how theyre used and apply their technical knowledge/expertise appropriately troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults; replacing parts as required; providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports; following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system; supporting the roll-out of new applications; setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues; assisting with user training when needed. responding within agreed time limits to call-outs; working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate); prioritising and managing many open cases at one time; rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers; testing and evaluating new technology and involvement in specific project work as required Only visual checks, official testing via PAT Travelling to various sites across the midlands when needed.
