One of our most exciting and fast-growing international biotech clients are seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Operations to join its Research & Development function. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing global clinical studies across a diverse oncology portfolio.
The Role
Lead the clinical operations team and oversee all aspects of clinical trial delivery from study start-up through to close-out, ensuring compliance, quality, timelines, and budget adherence. You will provide both strategic leadership and hands-on operational oversight, collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive the success of multiple complex clinical studies.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the operational delivery of global clinical trials, ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP and internal SOPs.
* Manage internal Clinical Operations staff
* Oversee external CROs and vendors, including contract negotiation, performance oversight, and issue resolution.
* Partner cross-functionally with various teams, most importantly clinical development
* Drive clinical trial feasibility, site selection, risk management, and contingency planning.
* Provide clinical operations input into study design, protocol development, regulatory submissions, and study documentation.
* Support audit readiness and lead clinical operations activities during GCP inspections and audits.
* Manage clinical trial budgets
Requirements
* Degree in Life Sciences or related discipline.
* 10+ years of clinical operations and clinical project management experience within CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
* Demonstrated experience delivering complex global oncology clinical trials; experience across both early and late-phase development strongly preferred.
* Thorough understanding of global regulatory guidelines (EMA, FDA, ICH, GCP).
* Proven leadership and people management skills with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
