Benefits include: Starting salary of £30,000 based on a 35-40 hour week Straight shifts on a 4 day working week Prestigious venue and setting A real highlight on any CV Proven progression Great support structure Be part of an exciting growing independent company with great expansion plans Be part of a professional set up, no shouty chefs or disorganised structures here Our Independent client operate this high quality Restaurant in Howarth, commutable to Leeds, Keighley, Bradford and Hebden bridge The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a key member of the management team and is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant assisting in the management of up to 15 staff on a busy service The Assistant Restaurant Manager will also be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the bar & floor staff, ensuring that all guests receive a high level of service. Responsibilities: Assist the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant Provide leadership and direction to the staff at all times Ensure that all guests receive a high level of service Develop and implement marketing plans and bar menus, with the opportunity to complete these works from home Resolve guest complaints Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees The ideal Assistant Restaurant Manager candidate will be able to demonstrate: 5 years of experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a supervisory/management position Strong leadership and management skills Experience delivering a 1st class hospitality & service experience, in a busy, hands-on high volume venue, be it restaurant, hotel or gastro pub Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in back of house systems & H&S compliance Knowledge of the hotel industry and best practices Have a friendly yet professional persona Be a strong leader, being able to enthuse those around you Be able to lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the front of house team Have the ability to self-manage and the ability to adapt and improvise to changing situations.
