Wood Process & Energy is recruiting a PLANC Manager to support our project with Centrica Energy Storage Limited (CES) based in Hessle on a contract basis.
It has been 18 months since Centrica Energy Storage+ and Wood entered into a collaborative partnership to deliver projects to support Centrica Energy Storage with their near & long-term strategic objectives.
You will support the implementation of Wood’s environmental strategy and HSSE policy obligations. Assist with technical support in the management of environmental risk and opportunities across Wood’s operations. Provide technical and practical support services to ensure that operations maintain the environmental licence to operate and environmental credentials to support clients in all jurisdictions in which they operate.
You will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of Wood’s environmental standards across the company. Collaborate and support operations to achieve the highest standards of environmental stewardship, building an exemplary environmental reputation for Wood in the eyes of key stakeholders.
An enthusiastic environmental professional with experience in site-based environmental management in the project site environment. You will be technically proficient in environmental management standards and /or a specialist environmental discipline (. contaminated land).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide technical support to facilitate the environmental plan to ensure that environmental aspects are appropriately managed and that Wood’s HSSE policy obligations are enacted
2. Assist in the identification of, understand and communicate the legal, industrial and contractual environmental obligations placed on Wood
3. Assist in the development and provision of training on key environmental risks to facilitate greater environmental awareness across the business
4. Provide the business with technical environmental services on a broad range of environmental management issues. contaminated land, investigations, client engagement
5. Provision of technical environmental advice and support to management to ensure that environmental obligations are effectively supported
6. Liaise with the line manager and legal teams to manage environmental regulatory issues and/or investigations
7. Support the business to maintain environmental licences, certifications and memberships
