Electrician - Renewable Energy Installations
Location: Leamington Spa
Contract: Temp to Perm
Van provided if required
We're looking for a qualified and motivated Electrician to join our team, working on a range of renewable energy projects. If you have a passion for sustainability and are experienced in solar PV installations, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
* Installing, testing, and commissioning domestic and/or commercial solar PV systems
* Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings
* Working with both AC and DC circuits, inverters, isolators, and carrying out fault finding
* Using remote monitoring systems, data loggers, and mobile apps
* Ensuring all works meet health & safety standards and UK building regulations
* Preparing and following risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
* Reporting any unsafe appliances, installations, or equipment
* Operating tools and machinery safely
* Travelling locally or nationally depending on the project
* Flexibility to work overtime or weekends if needed
What we're looking for:
* Recognised electrical apprenticeship and/or full electrical qualifications (Essential)
* 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (Essential)
* ECS Gold Card (Essential)
* Solar PV experience preferred - training available
* Understanding of MCS Accreditation (Microgeneration Certification Scheme)
* Familiarity with G98/G99 (grid connection regs) and PAS 2030 (for retrofit/funded work)
* One or more of the following qualifications is desirable:
o City & Guilds 2399 - Solar Photovoltaic Installation
o LCL Level 3 - Installation & Maintenance of Solar PV Systems
o BPEC Solar PV Installer Course
* Full UK driving licence with no more than 7 points
* Full set of tools
* Passion for renewable energy and innovation
