Teacher of Design and Technology
Location: Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
GSL Education are seeking a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Design and Technology to work at a thriving Secondary School in Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire starting in September 2025.
Teacher of Design and Technology Responsibilities:
* Deliver, and assess engaging and innovative lessons across the Design Technology curriculum, including specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Graphics.
* Inspire creativity and critical thinking through practical and theoretical work.
* Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively.
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the department.
* Maintain high expectations of behaviour and attainment within a safe and supportive classroom environment.
Teacher of Design and Technology Requirements:
* Maintain high expectations of behaviour and attainment within a safe and supportive classroom environment.
* A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Design Technology or a closely related subject.
* Strong subject knowledge across a range of DT disciplines, including the national curriculum and exam board requirements.
* Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
