On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a passionate, people-orientated HR Advisor to join a growing advisory team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys providing high-quality, pragmatic HR advice and supporting managers across a broad range of people matters in a fast-paced environment. On a day-to-day basis, you will provide support to the business and guidance to managers on employee relations issues, HR documentation, best practice and employment law, ensuring a consistent and compliant approach across the organisation. £15 - £17 per hour 25 hours per week, ideally Monday to Friday 12.30pm – 5.30pm (flexibility available) 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata) Birthday day off Health cash plan Life assurance (4 x salary) Employee Assistance Programme Gym membership subsidy Refer a friend scheme Free will writing service Ongoing training and development, including employment law updates Duties and responsibilities: Provide first-class HR advice and guidance via telephone and email on a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, redundancy, restructure and TUPE Support managers with best practice application of employment law and HR policies Manage and respond to HR queries in line with agreed service level agreements Prepare, draft and update HR documentation, including contracts, offer letters and written statements Support the drafting, review and maintenance of employee handbooks and HR policies Provide cover and support for colleagues’ clients when required Contribute to HR projects and ad hoc work as required by the business Utilise CRM systems and HR knowledge bases to ensure accurate and consistent advice Skills and experience required: Proven practical HR experience at Advisor level or above Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application Experience providing business-focused HR advice to managers at all levels CIPD Level 3 or above, or equivalent HR experience Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to build professional relationships and manage workload effectively Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
