Teacher of Science

Location: Havering, Outer London Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) + £1,500 Allowance Total Package: £36,014 - £52,679 + Performance & Loyalty Bonus Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: September

Ignite Curiosity. Transform Futures.

Are you a passionate scientist with a gift for inspiring young minds? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Science to join a high-performing, oversubscribed 11-16 academy in Havering.

This isn't just a classroom role; it's an invitation to join a community built on the values of Belong, Believe, and Become. With a brand-new Sixth Form recently launched, there has never been a more exciting time to join our ambitious team.

Why Choose Us?

We do things differently. We believe that a teacher's focus should be on their craft, not on paperwork.

* Work-Life Harmony: We use meaningful measures to manage workload, including an early finish on Fridays, no graded observations, and sensible feedback policies that replace onerous marking.
* Subject-First Pedagogy: We believe the subject should dictate how you teach. Our "front and centre" approach gives you the autonomy to lead with expertise.
* Professional Growth: As a "Leading Edge" school, we are at the forefront of educational research. You will benefit from bespoke line management and career progression opportunities within a wider, nationally recognized Federation.
* Culture of Consistency: We utilize firm but fair routines, allowing you to teach in a calm, focused environment where students are taught how to behave, not just told to.

The Role

As our new Teacher of Science, you will:

* Deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum that challenges students to see the world differently.
* Foster a safe, motivating learning environment where every student can achieve their potential.
* Act as a Form Tutor, supporting the personal and academic growth of your students.
* Collaborate with a united staff team determined to overcome educational disadvantage.

What We're Looking For

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
* Experience teaching Science at the secondary level (including training practice).
* A "team player" mentality with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
* High expectations for student attainment and a commitment to equality of access.
* Strong ICT skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.

The Rewards

Beyond a competitive salary and the £1,500 Allowance, our staff enjoy:

* Performance and Loyalty Bonuses.
* A comprehensive Wellbeing Cash Plan.
* Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS).
* Access to a wide range of additional Federation benefits.
