Registered Children's Home Manager - 3 Bed EBD Location: Erdington Salary : Up to £60,000 per annum Job Type : Permanent Benefits: Competitive salary of £60,000 per annum. Requirements: A recognized qualification in social work, nursing, or a relevant field (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services or equivalent) Proven experience in managing a children’s residential care home, preferably with LD and EBD Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards Strong leadership, management, and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and manage complex situations effectively Commitment to promoting the rights, welfare, and development of children Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the team to ensure high-quality care and full compliance with regulations and standards. Develop and maintain effective policies, procedures, and a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee personalised care plans to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of each child. Work collaboratively with social workers, families, and other professionals to provide holistic support. Ensure the home meets Ofsted and safeguarding requirements through regular audits, inspections, and quality reviews. Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff, promoting ongoing professional development and a positive team culture. Manage the home’s budget and resources effectively, maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for children. Promote and uphold safeguarding practices to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the home.
