The Role
As a Project Manager, you will become an integral member of a dynamic PMO function, where you are fully responsible and accountable to understand and deliver the programme vision, objectives and benefits
Day-to-day,The projects within this role include delivering a critical HW subsystem within the BUTEC ranging capability to address obsolescence and delivery of the HW solution for a replacement acoustic Sensing and Processing Solution (ASPSR) to ensure next level acoustic analysis for the MoD customer.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivery of a high value (c £2.5m) project
2. Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers
3. Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for delivery which reflects the up-to-date expectations for the work
4. Reporting progress on all accountabilities to senior programme / portfolio manager
Essential experience of the Project Manager:
5. Typically, 2-3 years in a Project Management position
6. Ideally from the Defence, Aerospace or Marine industries
Essential qualifications for the Project Manager:
7. Degree educated
8. APM, PPQ or Prince2 qualified

This role is 37 hours per week based at either our Farnborough or Portsmouth facilities with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.

Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ’s key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services.
