Introduction
Our client is a private equity-backed healthcare/ life sciences business servicing the pharmaceutical, medical devices, and diagnostics markets. Operating globally, they have combined healthy organic growth with select acquisitions over recent years. As part of the value-creation plan and supported by their investors, the business is targeting further acquisitions across both the US and Europe.
The Role
As the Head of M&A you'll be at the forefront of their growth plan, driving end-to-end transactions from deal origination through execution. Reporting into the CFO and collaborating with the CEO and other senior stakeholders, you'll champion M&A strategy definition, translating business goals into actionable initiatives. With a deep M&A skillset, you'll identify, source, and execute deals across multiple markets and geographies. Your influence will extend to direct interactions with shareholders, board presentations, and strategic alignment with commercial leaders.
The person
To excel in this role, you should bring:
* A Senior M&A Leader: You possess a wealth of experience in M&A, ideally a combination of both advisory and in-house corporate development
* Full deal experience: You have a track record of overseeing end-to-end deals, from identification and sourcing, through execution and close, including negotiations
* Global Perspective: Your international deal experience enables you to effectively engage diverse cultures and backgrounds.
* Sector Familiarity: You've worked in the Healthcare/ Life Sciences sector
* Networking: Your exceptional networking skills and high EQ allow you to build strong relationships and win the hearts and minds of both internal and external stakeholders.
* Analytical Prowess: Your sharp analytical skills, including modeling, empower you to drive strategic decision-making.
* PE-backed Insight: Experience working with PE-backed businesses, or alongside PE on deals will be a distinct advantage
* Travel: You are able to base yourself anywhere in the UK or Ireland, whilst having the flexibility to travel internationally as and when required for the role
