As we prepare to open our newest club, we’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic Assistant Club Manager to support our General Manager in creating a thriving, member-focused gym from the ground up.

About the Role
Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant Club Manager will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the club. You’ll be involved in a range of areas, including member engagement, sales support, gym operations, social media, and working alongside our team of Personal Trainers. This is a hands-on, varied role - ideal for someone who wants to be in a people-first environment, contribute meaningfully to a growing business, and learn what it takes to run a successful fitness club.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Member Engagement
Support the General Manager in achieving monthly membership targets.
Handle incoming member enquiries and support the tour and sign-up process.
Build strong relationships with both prospective and existing members to support engagement and retention.
Assist with outreach and lead generation in the local community.
Help manage the CRM/membership system and ensure accurate, up-to-date data.
Club Operations
Ensure the gym is clean, safe, well-stocked and running smoothly each day.
Monitor stock levels (cleaning supplies, vending, toiletries) and reorder as needed.
Liaise with contractors (cleaning, maintenance) when required.
Assist with key daily tasks such as opening/closing the club, cover, and presentation.
Marketing & Social Media
Help deliver local marketing campaigns using Anytime Fitness tools and materials.
Contribute to the club’s social media presence and content calendar.
Support the creation of in-club promotions and engagement campaigns.
Team Support & Culture
Collaborate with the General Manager and assist Personal Trainers with onboarding and member engagement.
Help maintain a welcoming, inclusive club culture that drives retention and referrals.
Where qualified, support small group classes or provide cover when needed.
About You
We’re looking for someone positive, proactive and people-focused - someone who’s passionate about fitness and wants to build a career in the industry. You might be a great fit if you have:
Previous experience in a gym or health club environment (preferred).
Strong customer service and/or sales experience.
A Level 2 or 3 Fitness qualification (or a willingness to work toward one).
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A can-do attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the club.
Ambition to grow into a leadership role as the business expands.
