Senior Network Engineer
Support and assist with the design, architecture, implementation, and security of large multi‑site, multi‑vendor network communication environments.
Major Accountabilities
* Manage and implement network projects.
* Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate networks and re‑architecting network segments to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
* Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone networks and performance.
* Participate in telecommunications‑related initiatives.
* Support assigned projects, which include responsibility for planning and implementation activities.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
* Three to five years of overall IT experience in Networking (LAN/WAN), Firewalls, wireless, security and encryption technologies.
* Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.
* Broad knowledge of Cisco’s product portfolio.
* Broad knowledge of Project Management methodology and best practices.
* Knowledge of network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies.
Skills / Abilities
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Self‑starter with demonstrated listening skills.
* Serves as a mentor to lower‑level employees, leading others and using good judgment.
* Limited supervision; work may be reviewed for direction and strategy.
Work Conditions
* Hybrid working.
* May require occasional travel.
