Job Description
Hays are working with a Tunbridge Wells studio, assisting them to find an experienced Architectural Technician to join their close-knit team. The studio covers a full design and build service with a portfolio of one-off high-quality homes dotted around Kent and Sussex. They cover Grand Designs-style new builds to sensitive barn conversions, extensions, and refurbishments. They currently have an opening for an experienced technician who is looking for a small but professional practice to call home.
Core Duties
Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for bespoke residential projects using CAD software.Assist in developing design concepts and translating them into accurate construction documentation.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent and technical accuracy.
Produce planning and building regulation drawings and manage submissions to local authorities.
Conduct site visits and surveys to gather measurements and verify design feasibility.
Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
Support the design team in resolving technical issues during all project stages.
Prepare schedules and material specifications for tender and construction purposes.
