Tradewind are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join our dynamic Alternative Provision in Blackpool, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a skilled team who put student wellbeing, progress, and personal development at the heart of everything they do.
Key Responsibilities
Build positive, trusting relationships with students aged 11-16.
Provide emotional, behavioural, and pastoral support to help young people re-engage with learning.
Work closely with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure each student receives holistic support.
Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Support behaviour management, daily routines, and personalised learning plans.
Promote positive choices, resilience, and personal growth among learners.We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working with young people, ideally in an alternative provision, SEND, or pastoral setting.
Is calm, patient, adaptable, and committed to helping students overcome barriers.
Can manage challenging behaviour with confidence and empathy.
Communicates effectively and works well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Is reliable, proactive, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners.What We Offer
