The Role What Youll Be Doing A varied mix of audit and accounts work, giving you great exposure and client interaction: The split in this role will be 70% Accounts and 30% Audit - Audit experience is not essential - there will be plenty of support and training to help you add another string to your bow!
Accounts & Tax
Prepare statutory accounts under UK GAAP
Prepare management accounts
Complete bookkeeping and VAT returns
Prepare and review corporation tax computations
Team & Client Interaction
Supervise and support junior team members
Help develop trainees and contribute to a positive team culture
Build strong client relationships
Be a key point of contact during assignments
Highlight additional service needs to senior management
Audit Support and assist in statutory audit assignments
Take part in audit planning
Conduct on-site and remote fieldwork
Ensure compliance with auditing standards
Identify issues, improvements and opportunities
To thrive in this role, you will be:
Part-qualified ACA or ACCA
Experienced (minimum 2 years) within a UK accountancy practice
Confident with UK GAAP and audit principles
Skilled in managing multiple assignments
A strong communicator who enjoys client interaction
Driven, ambitious and looking for a long-term career within practice
Experience with CCH, Sage, Xero or ProAudit is beneficial, but not essential.
