* Full-time: 37 hours per week

About the Role
We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Children’s Residential Services in Doncaster as Residential Child Care Officers.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people, supporting them to thrive in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
Working under the guidance of the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Officers, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and supporting young people with a range of complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a warm, caring, and supportive residential environment
* Support the emotional, social, and physical needs of young people
* Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a strong role model
* Work with children who may present complex or challenging behaviours
* Follow care plans and contribute to maintaining a safe home environment
* Advocate for children and promote their wellbeing and development
What We’re Looking For
* A genuine passion for working with children and young people
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Resilience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
* Ability to work shifts, including weekends and unsocial hours
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare
Experience in residential care is beneficial, but not essential—transferable skills and the right attitude are highly valued.
Training & Development
* Level 3 TQUK Diploma in Residential Childcare (mandatory within 2 years)
* Support provided to achieve qualifications
* Opportunity to progress to Level 5 Leadership & Management
* Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
* Support to achieve Maths & English qualifications if required

* Homes supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
* Short Breaks services for children with disabilities and complex needs
* Long-term residential homes supporting children with additional needs

Additional Benefits
* £43.12 per sleep-in shift
* 8.5% unsocial hours allowance
* Rota includes 2 weekends off out of 4

* Overtime paid at time and a quarter (over 37 hours)
