UX Service Designer
Contract: 10 months | Location: Newcastle (Hybrid) | Rate: £350-425 per day
A global digital consultancy delivering large-scale transformation projects across the public and private sectors is seeking a UX Service Designer to join an established multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to shape services end-to-end, from discovery through to implementation.
In this UX Service Designer role, you’ll lead human-centred design across complex programmes, bringing research, strategy and design thinking together to create services that truly work for users.
Responsibilities
* Lead the full human-centred design process, from framing services to delivery.
* Conduct and synthesise ethnographic and UX research to uncover user needs.
* Facilitate workshops and guide teams toward informed, collaborative decisions.
* Produce journey maps, prototypes and usability tests to validate concepts.
* Provide expert input across multiple teams, influencing key design and service decisions.
About You
* Advanced expertise in UX Research and strong knowledge of Service Design, System Design and Design Thinking.
* Skilled in translating complex insights into clear, actionable service improvements.
* Confident working autonomously while supporting and guiding multidisciplinary teams.
* Comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels and aligning diverse perspectives.
* Curious, collaborative and eager to stay up to date with industry best practices.
