Are you passionate about helping people? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? We're looking for a GP Receptionist who puts customer service at the heart of everything they do.
At Dapdune House Surgery, we believe the patient experience starts the moment they reach out to us – and that makes you one of the most important parts of our team. Whether you're welcoming someone at the front desk or supporting them over the phone, you'll be the calm, friendly, and professional first point of contact for our patients.
About the Role:
You'll be part of a supportive team of receptionists who:

* Handle calls, appointments, and queries with empathy, patience, and efficiency
* Work collaboratively with clinical and admin colleagues to ensure smooth patient journeys
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
* Support day-to-day administrative tasks with a positive, solution-focused mind-set
Who we're looking for
We're open to applications from people with:
* Previous experience in a healthcare or public-facing role
* Strong transferable skills from hospitality, retail, customer service, or administration
* What matters most to us is your attitude, resilience, and ability to stay kind and calm under pressure. If you're a natural communicator, a fast learner, and genuinely care about helping others – we want to hear from you.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Knowledge of EMIS or experience working in a GP practice or NHS setting
* Understanding of NHS appointment systems or repeat prescription processes
* Strong computer skills
We will provide full training and mentoring for the right candidate.
