Role Summary: Supporting events and engagement for Army Benevolent Fund Regional Office. The role encompasses: supporting regional fundraising, developing volunteer fundraising, and initiating and delivering regional fundraising and engagement events as part of the Regional Office team. Specific Tasks:

1. Fundraising: Coordinating and scheduling all regional fundraising events. Assisting with briefings and events (planning and delivery), representing the Charity at external events such as cheque presentations and volunteer briefings. Initiating and managing regional events with guidance from your RD. Supporting fundraising events as requested by RD and/or the charity. Assisting the SW Engagement Officer activities. Supporting volunteers fundraising and acting as the primary Point of Contact for new volunteers. Distributing fundraising equipment and merchandise. Maintaining knowledge of fundraising best practices.
2. Event Administration: Responding to enquiries and acting as the primary contact for supporters and volunteers. Providing guidance in the absence of the Regional Director. Searching for and complying with relevant policy documents. Managing mail and merchandise in the absence of EA SW.
3. Database Management: Inputting, maintaining, and amending constituent data; maximizing the use of the charity database. Using WordPress, Brand Stencil, and other fundraising platforms; liaising with departments. Advertising future events on the regional webpage. Ensuring supporters receive thank you letters and that the database is updated accordingly. Participating in database training and ensuring GDPR compliance.

Skills/Personal Attributes: Flexibility in working patterns, valid driver’s license, ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective communication and interpersonal skills, literacy and numeracy, good office practice, IT skills including social media (desirable), understanding of the British Army and charity sector (desirable), empathy with beneficiaries.
