Project Manager – M&E (Electrical or Mechanical Bias)

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance works and small to medium-sized M&E projects mainly in eduucation, typically up to £50k–£250k in value.
The Role
As the M&E Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical and/or electrical projects from handover through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of M&E maintenance and small works projects up to £250,000.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key clients.
*
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely and efficient manner.
*
Prepare quotations, cost plans and project programmes.
*
Oversee site operatives and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
*
Allocate labour and resources effectively to meet client deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
*
Ensure all works comply with current M&E regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
*
Maintain accurate project records, documentation and reporting.
*
Ensure smooth project handover and provide aftercare support where required.
*
Liaise closely with the large projects division to support workload and resource planning.
*
Support business development through repeat work and client relationship management.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager within Mechanical or Electrical services.
*
Strong overall knowledge of M&E systems and installation methods.
*
Experience managing maintenance contracts and installation projects up to £50k–£250k.
*
Ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including quoting, procurement and delivery.
*
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
*
Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
*
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
*
*
Valid SMSTS or SSSTS and CSCS Gold Card.
*
Relevant Mechanical or Electrical industry qualifications.
Desirable
Experience working within Commercial, Healthcare, Education or Industrial environments.
Knowledge of compliance and statutory testing requirements.
Experience working with planned and reactive maintenance contracts.
