Business Administrator | Bushey, Watford | Full Time, Permanent | Competitive Salary plus Benefits
Accountabilities
* To ensure surgical charging is actioned promptly and accurately in line with Spire procedure, identifying problems, placing billing alerts, suspending and clearing as required. To follow up on billing queries liaising with FSSC as required.
* To liaise with the Medical Coders, ensuring patient notes are prepared.
* To establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* To co-ordinate the request for payment of standard invoices, consultant fees and patient refunds.
* To resolve payment and invoice queries from patients, consultants, insurers and third parties, and process payments as necessary
* To assist in other areas of the Business Office as and when needed.

Qualifications and Training
* Excellent numeracy skills
* PC literate
Skills and Behaviours
* Strong administrative skills, preferably in a similar role with a keen eye for detail
* Confident telephone manner with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers at all levels
* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally
* The ability to work effectively as a team
* Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise demanding workloads accordingly.
* Strong focus on delivering and meeting customer expectations
* Ability to produce and analyse management information using appropriate software packages
* Flexibility to adapt to Business Office needs

* The post holder must be able to understand the impact of actions on both the business and customers
* Ability to analyse problems and identify appropriate point of escalation
* Ability to handle complex, varied and sensitive issues
* The post holder will be expected to apply their technical ability in a practical manner in a multitude of operational situations
