We are seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to join a school for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is a highly rewarding role, supporting pupils who have complex learning, physical, sensory, and medical needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support in both classroom and personal care settings.
* Assist with physical and sensory activities designed to engage and stimulate pupils.
* Support pupils in developing communication, independence, and social interaction skills.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality support.
* Promote a safe, structured environment where every pupil can thrive at their own pace.
Qualifications
* Experience supporting children or adults with SEND (experience with PMLD, complex medical needs, or non-verbal communication is highly desirable).
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with high levels of need.
* Flexibility and a commitment to working as part of a wider support team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
