Lady in her early 40s who is partially sighted requires Personal Assistant to support her both in the home and out with everyday tasks i.e. support with showering, cleaning and shopping as well as taking and picking up child from school.
Lady is physically able but out of the home has no sight at all and would struggle without someone with her. In the home she is partially sighted but requires support with al things domestic, getting ready and showering, and helping with correspondence issues.
Required someone who is flexible as required and able to work on their own initiative when needed. Someone who is happy to for good working relationship. A full clean driving licence is also required.
A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.
DBS Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.
The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed.
