Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively with clients to enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support clients in following their individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care.
* Help maintain a clean and safe environment for clients within the care home or at their residence.
* Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in care and support.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
* Basic IT skills are required for maintaining records and documentation as part of the role.
* Strong interpersonal skills are essential to build rapport with clients and provide empathetic support. We welcome candidates who are eager to make a positive impact in the lives of those they assist while working within a supportive team environment.
* Ability to work as part of a team and to show imitative in problem solving.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.30 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
