TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is exclusively recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join a growing firm of chartered accountants based in East Kent, near Dover. This role can be office-based or hybrid.

This opportunity would suit an experienced and technically strong Payroll Manager, or a seasoned Payroll Administrator or Supervisor ready to step up. The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied payroll portfolio of approximately 150 clients, while also supporting the wider team and Partners. There is also scope to get involved in areas such as CIS and bookkeeping during quieter periods, depending on your experience and interests.
The firm uses BrightPay software, and your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing multiple payrolls across a diverse client portfolio
2. Supporting internal processes relating to payroll and benefits
3. Handling queries relating to tax, benefits, salaries and allowances
4. Managing P11Ds and annual returns
5. Preparing and submitting CIS returns
6. Processing P60s, P45s, starter documentation and inductions
7. Managing auto enrolment processes
8. Acting as a mentor and point of support for junior team members
9. Managing statutory pay claims and related processes
10. Supporting the growth and development of the firm’s payroll offering
