Employment Support Administrator
Here at Brockenhurst College, we are looking to recruit an Employment Support Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis at out Basepoint Office in Southampton. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £24,617 per annum.

The Role:
As our Employment Support Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support as part of the Employment Support Services Team (Quickstart).
Quickstart are the employment support team for Brockenhurst College, based in Southampton, providing fully funded courses to unemployed adults to support them back into work or move a step closer to employment.

Responsibilities as our Employment Support Administrator will include:
2. Provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative service for the team, taking and communicating messages, working through the various processes and systems that support the work Employment Support undertake, with a particular emphasis on logging customer referrals accurately on our Access Databases.
3. Respond to all external and internal telephone and email enquiries, providing accurate advice and support where necessary. Maintain the generic email account and social media for Employment Support Services.
4. Maintain learner packs and documentation and track relevant paperwork including pre-enrolment, pre-course and post course completion.
5. Support tutors with courses where necessary, including classroom setup/tidying, exam invigilation, and maintenance of learner break room
6. Support and deal with queries from learners, visitors, partners, tutors and the public.
7. Support colleagues with regular and consistent tracking of learners post course to ensure accurate destination date is collected.
8. Provide hospitality and any other learning support materials needed for learning. Order and maintain stationery and other supplies.
9. Assist in the implementation of an effective filing & storage system.
10. Support Curriculum Leader and Coordinator with appropriate administrative tasks where required
11. Liaise with external organisations and bodies relevant to the specific responsibilities of the Employment Services Co-ordinators and Head of Employability.
12. Assist colleagues as required and be willing to sometimes work flexibly to help cover events.
13. Carry out duties with efficiency, accuracy and diplomacy, ensuring confidentiality is maintained.

As our Employment Support Administrator, you’ll ideally have:
15. GCSE C English
16. Completed of willing to work towards a digital/IT qualification
17. Experience working within a busy office environment
18. Experience of preparation of reports and formal documents
19. Experience of preparation of general communications e.g. letters
20. Experience of maintaining files and records
21. Experience of planning own work routines and cycle
22. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including use of Outlook, Word and Excel spreadsheets
